CCHS Students Participate in Rotary Club annual event
Central Catholic was recently represented at the parish's annual New Generation Conference. Delegates representing the school chose "The Veterans History Project" for their proposal. The students' proposal included starting a local Veterans History Project modeled after the national project sponsored by the Library of Congress. The project is designed to honor American war veterans and civilian workers who supported them by preserving stories of their services to our country.

Central Catholic Sends Future School Leaders to Washington D.C.
Paige Johnson, Nicholas Longman, and Juliana Pennison are traveling to Washington, D.C. from September 10th to September 16th. These students were chosen to attend People to People World Leadership Forum. They will join a select group of students in Washington, to earn high school credit while studying leadership and exploring some of the United States’ most prominent monuments and institutions.
From Capitol Hill to the Smithsonian Institute, and from Colonial Williamsburg to the National Museum of American History, these students will examine the characteristics of American leadership during times of national challenge and prosperity. Forum delegates will also participate in small-group discussions and exercises to experience first-hand how successful leaders develop strategies, make decisions, build consensus, and foster change.
Paige, Nicholas, and Juliana were nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. This program is coordinated by People to People Student Ambassador Programs to fulfill the vision Dwight D. Eisenhower had for fostering world citizenship when he founded People to People during his presidency in 1956.
Central Catholic would like to wish them well on their future endeavor. We are proud to have them serve as Central’s ambassadors in Washington, D.C.
