Choosing an ACT Date

Advantages to taking the ACT during the spring of your junior year:

  • Test scores will be received as well as other information that will help in the planning for the senior year in high school.
  • Many colleges being contacting prospective students during the summer before the senior year.
  • If the score is not as high as a student may feel that it should be, there will be other opportunities to retake the ACT in the spring and summer of junior year of fall of senior year and still have the new information available in time to meet admission and scholarship deadlines.

**All juniors should consider taking the ACT on the February testing date and at least twice during the junior year.
