No cost will be incurred for warranty work. Any costs incurred for work not covered by the warranty (fire, theft, loss, or viruses) will be the responsibility of the laptop's owner. If a computer requires an extended repair time, a student may be given a loaner to use in the interim.
Technical support is only available to students with school laptops. Likewise, loaner computers are only available to those students who have school laptops.
If there is a problem with any software or hardware that the laptop owner personally installed , The Help Desk may not be able to provide assistance. In some cases, a computer may simply be re-imaged if the laptop owner has downloaded a virus as the result of installing unauthorized or banned software. (See Banned Software) All students have been fully warned that re-imaging will always be a possiblity when unauthorized software is the cause of computer issues/problems.
